Fly Cup Café
Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 10.00-15.00 in the Chapel
The Fly Cup Café operates in The Chapel at St Andrew's on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00am - 3.00pm. Morning coffees and teas are served. At lunch-time the changing menu offers soups, hot meals, sandwiches, paninis, baked potatoes, home-bakes, puddings and afternoon teas. There is a take-away service as well as outside catering.
Fly Cup Catering is a charity providing training opportunities in catering for people with a learning disability, and currently has around 20 people using the service. Fly Cup originated in 1995 as a project within the Harlaw Day Care Centre. It is now a well established company offering education, training and employment opportunities with the aim of successfully integrating trainees into the employment market.
Directing these new ventures is Fly Cup's new Business Manager Mr Ronnie Noble. Ronnie has been with Fly Cup for 4 months and brings with him 40 years' experience in a catering environment. He has joined this busy team to drive the business and training forward. Ronnie is looking to recruit new staff to assist with the café as well as recruiting volunteers to help the trainees with shop service skills and waitress/waiter skills.
